Edward Baughman, 84 of Centerville passed away Tuesday, August 23 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville. Edward was born on March 13, 1927 to Charles and Laura (Porter) Baughman in Chariton, Missouri. He received his education from Livonia High School in 1945. He married Kathryn Padavich on September 27, 1952 in Unionville, Missouri. After marriage they moved to Centerville, Iowa where he worked as a self employed truck driver. Edward enjoyed dancing, music, gardening, yard work, driving his truck, reading and time with his family. Edward is survived by his wife Kathryn of Centerville, children; Martha Jayne of Paducah, KY, Michael Baughman (Reda) of Cincinnati, Merry Dudley of Centerville, Charley 'Fred' Baughman (Melody Vestal) of Keller, TX, Julie Tremmel (Bill) Sigourney, Iowa, Christine Anderson (Bob) of Culloden, West Virginia, 11 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Whitacre of Unionville, Missouri and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters; Helen Terry, Mary Underwood and two brothers; Porter and Dick Baughman. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Dick Allen officiating. Visitation will be all day Wednesday with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery.
