Edward Conn's Obituary
Edward Conn, 70, of Centerville, Iowa, passed away August 6, 2014 at Taylor House-Hospice in Des Moines. Edward was born to Rall and Hazel (Manganello) Conn on November 6, 1943 in Centerville Iowa. He was raised with his sister and two brothers. Edward was joined in marriage to Sharon Davis on May 16, 1977. He joined the Army and served in Germany. On returning from service Edward worked as a truck driver. He retired in 2001. There were many activities and hobbies that Edward shared with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, camping and cookouts in the great outdoors. Edward listened to classic rock and roll, cheered on the Chicago Cubs and was a supporter of St. Jude's. Edward is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughter, Tina Stickler of Centerville; two sons James (Beth) Ruby of Promise City and David Conn of Peoria, IL; nine grandchildren; Brandy (Kyle) Roush, David (Amy) Wilson, Carl Pasco Jr., Steven Stickler, Dustin (Josalynn) Stickler and Travis Weishaar all of Centerville and Monica Conn of Peoria, IL; great grandchildren, Ayden, Leeland and Peytan Roush, Faith Pasco, Arabella Stickler, Taylor and Riley Ruby and several other great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Becky Strode; son-in-law, John Weishaar; sister, Hazel Conn and two brothers, Harley Conn and Pete Conn. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Chapman officiating.
