Edna "Macy" Langloss' Obituary
Edna (Macy) Mayola Langloss, 94 of Allerton passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015 at the Corydon Nursing & Rehab. Macy was born on September 13, 1920 in Bridgeport, Kansas to Arthur & Edna Lindgren. Macy was one of 9 children born to Arthur & Edna. She attended school in Bridgeport. On September 23, 1936, Macy was united in marriage to Wilbur Langloss. To this union were four children, Dennis, Danial, Gary and Marlene. Throughout the late 30's and 40's, times were tough, Wilbur and Macy moved back and forth from Kansas to Iowa looking for work. In 1952, Wilbur and Macy settled in Allerton and found a place they called home. Macy was a homemaker while Wilbur went out and made the money. Numerous people have many hobbies, Macy simply enjoyed being with her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed the times family would get together and visiting with family from outside the state. Later on in life she enjoyed going out to eat with her family and finishing the evening off by taking a ride through the country. Macy is survived by her children: Dan Langloss (Louise) of Humeston, Gary Langloss (Margaret) of Corydon, Marlene Spencer (LeRoy) of Corydon, grandchildren: Shane, Danette, Shelly, Robbie, Rick, Russ, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Ted Lindgren (Shirley) of Assaria, Kansas, Sister-in-law, Betty Lindgren of Tenino, Washington, sister-in-law, Helen Lindgren of Mena, Arkansas and sister-in-law Lecine Stroud of Allerton. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilbur Langloss of 62 years, an infant son, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, 4 sisters-in-law and 8 brothers-in-law. Macy will be dearly missed by her family. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton. Interment will be in the Allerton Cemetery immediately following. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton. Memorials may be given to Wayne County Hospital and condolences may be shared at www.thomasrandolphfh.com.
