Edith Lucille Horn's Obituary
Edith Lucille Horn, age 98 of Moulton, Iowa, died Sunday, July 13, 2008 at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Ambrose and Luetta (Lynch) Horn on May 24, 1910 in West Grove, Iowa. She attended Troy and Bloomfield Community Schools. On February 24, 1934, Edith was united in marriage to Paul N. Horn in Lancaster, Missouri. She worked in several factories in Peoria, Illnois and also did home care work. Later, after moving back to Moulton, she began part time work in the kitchen at Moulton Community Schools. She was a member of the Mark Baptist Church and attended the Moulton Christian Church. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Paul N. Horn, on April 6, 1982; her parents, Ambrose and Luetta Horn; a brother, Wendall Horn; and her sister, Kathrine French.Edith is survived by: her sons, Don Horn and his wife Diane of Bloomfield, Iowa, and R. Wayne Horn and his wife Gloria of Moulton, Iowa; daughters, Wanda R. Ruiz of San Diego, California, Nedra Rupe of Danville, Iowa, and Patricia F. Horn and her companion Bill Butcher of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2008, at 1:00 pm at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Pastor DeWayne Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 17, 2008 prior to the funeral at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton beginning at 9:00 am and ending when the service begins.
