Edison John Kerby's Obituary
Edison John Kerby, age 77, of Moulton, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of Clay David and Blanche Ethel (Watkins) Kerby near Moulton, Iowa on July 7, 1928. He graduated from the Moulton Community School in 1946.E.J. served his country during the Korean Conflict with the US Army from January 2, 1951 until his honorable discharge on April 1, 1957. On January 25, 1972 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Mae Davis in Kahoka, Missouri. E.J. was a Heavy Duty Machine operator all of his life.He was preceded in death by: his parents and his wife, Dorothy Kerby on December 19, 2005; and a sister, Carolyn Kerby.E.J. was survived by: his brothers, Donnie and Jerry Kerby of Moulton, Iowa; sisters, Colleen Hetzler of Moulton and Claetta Ward of Coatsville, Missouri. as well as a host of nieces and nephews.Memorial Services will be held on Friday, February 3, 2006 at 10:00 am at Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. His body has been cremated and burial of his ash will be done privately.
