Ed Oehler's Obituary
Ed Oehler, age 72 of Moravia, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at his home.
Ed was born on November 1, 1944 in Oklahoma, the son of Jay and Mary (Poljack) Oehler. He graduated from Moravia High School with the class of 1962.
Ed worked alongside his father and his brother David, at Oehler Brothers Oil Company in Moravia, until his father's passing in the fall of 1987. At this point in time, Ed and David operated the family business until the station closed in 2005.
He had a passion for cars. Ed loved everything about cars. He enjoyed trading cars, working on them, riding in them, and reading about them. He was a true motor head.
Ed is survived by his special friends, Lynne Warrick of Centerville, and Dave Spilman of Moravia; as well as a host of other friends from the Moravia community.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jay and Mary Oehler; and his brother, David Oehler.
Private graveside services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to either the Moravia First Responders or to the Moravia Public Library and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
