E.C. Jones' Obituary
E. C. Jones was born April 24, 1933to Jess and Susan Jones (Daggott) at their home in Newport Arkansas. He was united in marriage to Patricia Tuszynski August 23, 1957. To this union they had five children. Michael, Ted, Cliff, Ann, and Toni all of Mystic. E.C. was loved by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many that blood did not define as family. E.C. led an active life working throughout at various jobs, amongst his favorites were Sidles Top Crop, Allis Chalmers, and driving Semi. His final job was at Seals Construction where he worked alongside Pearl Seals a man he considered not only a friend but a brother. His past times included fishing with Pearl, gardening, and simply watching television often with his grandson Greggy. E.C. was beloved not only by his children and grandchildren but many whom he looked upon like his own kids. Nieces and nephews Katy Wireman, Rod Thomas, Vicki Clark, Rick Thomas and Judy McDaniel, Bruce, Dennis, Dale, Johnny, Greg, Tommy, David, Lisa and Debbie Harmon and many others for a time stayed with E.C. and Pat. He is survived by his children Michael (Lisa) Jones of Mystic, Cliff (Martha) Jones of Walnut City, Ann (Greg) Howe of Mystic, and Toni (Roger) Surber of Mystic, a daughter in law, Jill Jones of Plano and three sisters; Mary (Don) Cusey of Oil Trough, AK, Faye Amos and Lou Gilpin both of Lindsey, CA.. Extended family John and Frank Hutchinson. E.C. was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Ted, grandson Joshua, five brothers; Stinson, Thurman, Jerry, Columbus and Billy Jones, three sisters; Maxine Cathy, Nora Harmon, and Gail Bohnnon. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home with Brian Hargrave officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior, starting at 10:00 AM.
