Dwight Davison's Obituary
Dwight Merle Davison, 59, of Corydon, Iowa, passed away April 4, 2017 at the Legacy Lodge hospice house in Chariton, Iowa . Dwight was born on August 7, 1957 in Corydon to Jack P. and Dorothy R. (Meacham) Davison. He received his early education in the Corydon and Centerville schools. Dwight was a professional musician and performed for many years in Florida and Iowa. He had also trained as a professional chef at Indian Hills Community College and was employed at the Inn of the Six-Toed Cat in Allerton as well as restaurants in Arizona and Iowa. Dwight had one son, Ian Preston Davison of Florida. He is survived by his brother, Doug Davison of Centerville and sisters: Joyce Christensen of Marshalltown, Amy Delperdang of Keokuk and Jo Le Milledge of Attica. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, grandparents: Lawrence and Opal Davison and Lt. Col. Merle and Elizabeth Meacham as well as one brother, Jeff Davison. Cremation rites have been accorded by Thomas-Randolph Funeral Home in Corydon. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the community room at the Corydon Senior Housing, 511 E.
