Dwight F Brown's Obituary
Dwight F. Brown, age 83 of Corydon, passed away on November 8, 2020 at Wayne County Hospital. Dwight Francis Brown was born on April 8, 1937 in Tingley, Iowa to Lawrence "Shorty" and Mary (Bevins) Brown. He graduated from Cambria High School in 1955. Dwight was united in marriage on June 12, 1960 to Edna Mae Murrow at the Cambria Baptist Church. The couple had three daughters: Patty, Nancy, and Cindy. Dwight spent most of his life farming and he also drove a school bus for many years. One of his favorite past-times was restoring old tractors. Most of all, he loved his children and grandchildren and the time he got to spend with them. He also enjoyed attending the Cambria Alumni Banquet every year and visiting with his family at reunions. Survivors include wife Edna Brown, daughters: Patty Hanson (Chris), Nancy Casey, Cindy Kelly (Tim), grandchildren: Justin Hersom (Tanya), Travis Hersom (Paola), Ben Hanson (Cassandra), Heidi Hanson (Tyler), Melissa Hildenbrand (Tyler), Shelby Bertelsen (David), Matthew Bertelsen (Cheyenne), Cody Bertelsen, Tanner Kelly (Hannah), Sarah Kelly, and Amber Kelly, ten great grandchildren, sister, Beverly Hart, brother Richard Brown, and numerous extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Brown. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Paul Niday officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 12, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home. The family asks that anyone attending the visitation or service please wear masks and practice social distancing.
