Dwayne Hurley's Obituary
Dwayne E. Hurley, age 85 of Exline, Iowa died Friday morning, February 10, 2006 at his home.
He was born April 20, 1920 at Exline, Iowa the son of Isaac and Ica (Ferguson) Hurley. He graduated from Exline High School and attended the University of Wisconsin. He was married to Marily Louise Wells on December 5, 1945 at Davenport, Iowa, she preceded him in death. After high school he worked in a CCC camp and then went into the Navy. He was stationed on the UUS Jack during W.W.II. He was retired from Ill-Iowa Gas and Electric and lived in Davenport. After retirement he moved to Belle Vista Arkansas until his wife died then returned to Exline. He was a member of the Exline Christian Church.
He is survived by a brother Wayne Eldon Hurley and his wife Mary Ann, 8 nieces and nephews Aaron Hurley, Warren Lee Jr. Rogers, Stephen Rogers, April Sedan, Shelly Neurberg, Jerri VanderVinne, Barbara Haines, Mark Simpson, William Rogers, sisterin laws Joan Simpson and Esther Hurley; brother in laws Frank Simpson and Warren Rogers.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents brother Norman and sister Doris Rogers.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, February 13, 2006 at the National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, Rock Island, IL. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM Sunday afternoon at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, Centerville.
