Dustin James Wright's Obituary
Dustin James Wright passed away in his home on March 4th, 2024, at the age of 46 due to natural causes.
Dustin was born February 8, 1978 in Centerville, IA. Dustin lived in Cincinnati most of his childhood. He spent a lot of his time with his Grandparents. Dustin and his cousin Aaron were inseparable at a young age. Their Papa named them Jim (Dustin) and George. You would find Dustin with his Papa every Saturday morning doing the garbage route in Cincinnati which lead to one of his favorite past times "antiquing" at a very young age at the Cincinnati Dump. Dustin was a jokester and any chance he got to pull a prank he would. Dustin was always teasing his sister. He loved watching Dukes of Hazzard and WWF Wrestling. Dustin was happiest when he was out walking in the woods, arrowhead hunting, fishing, and tinkering with cars and bikes. Dustin had also lived in Texas a few different times in his younger years.
Dustin's family and friends were very special to him, but his pride and joy was his daughter Kylie. She was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with her and worked very hard to provide a loving and supportive environment. His daughter's laughter and smile brought him endless joy and fulfillment.
Dustin is survived by his parents, Cheryl (Dave) Ervin, of Centerville, IA, Maurice Oden of Colorado; his daughter Kylie, of Centerville, IA; Sister, Stacy Oden of Eldon, IA; niece Riley and nephew Chase; along with numerous aunts and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his son, Dakota Lee Davis; and his grandparents, Jim "Roscoe" and Dee Wright.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00AM, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the East Pleasant Church of Christ in Cincinnati. Inurnment will follow the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Memorials may be made to the Wright Family, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Wright Family, 501 Noth 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
