Dorothy A. Stout's Obituary
Dorothy Arlene Stout, age 91, of Blue Eye, Missouri and a former Centerville, Iowa resident, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas. She was born the daughter of John Herman and Dorothea Elizabeth (Bolte) Timion on February 26, 1922 in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from the Janesville Community High School in Janesville, Iowa and later received her teaching degree from Iowa Teachers College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. On June 10, 1945, Dorothy was united in marriage to Milton Stout at the Janesville United Methodist Church in Janesville. She taught school for four years in a rural Black Hawk County School near Waterloo, Iowa, then she taught at the Janesville Community School for a year. They farmed east of Janesville until the time they retired in May of 1976. The couple then move to Appanoose County where they would live near Lake Rathbun before moving to Centerville. She was a member of the Solid Rock Church of God in Centerville; enjoyed being a part of the Plano Wednesday Club in Plano, Iowa. Dorothy had a love of gardening and growing roses as well as going fishing both at Lake Rathbun and into Canada. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Milton Stout on December 4, 2010; and a brothers, Lawrence and Delbert Timion. Dorothy is survived by: her children, Patricia Dahle and her husband, Steven of Rockford, Illinois and Darlene Busch and her husband, Robert of Blue Eye, Missouri; grandson, Robert R. Busch and his wife, Michele of Edgewood, Iowa; granddaughters, Laurinda Karston and her husband, Kenneth of Chicago, Illinois and Michelle Busch Warmbrodt of Ballwin, Missouri and five great grandchildren, Payton Busch, Katie Busch, Isaac Karston, Jude Karston, and Quinn Warmbrodt. Her body has been cremated and private family services are planned. Memorials can be made to either the Stout Scholarship Fund at Centerville Community High School or to the Hospice of the Hills in Harrison, Arkansas.
