Dorothy L. Sprague, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at Centerville Nursing & Rehab Center in Centerville. She was born the daughter of Orval and Ethel (Swanson) Tharp on July 19, 1918 in Brookfield, Missouri. She graduated from the Brookfield Community Schools in 1937.On May 7, 1944, Dorothy was united in marriage to Donald Sprague, they were later divorced. She worked at Sears in Centerville as a Sales clerk and later was the bookkeeper at the New Block Coal Company and at Cossolotto Ready Mix.She was preceded in death by: her parents and sister, Darline Tharp on October 31, 2001.Dorothy is survived by her cousins; special friends, Phillip and Pat Brunow family of Centerville, Iowa and Kay (Novinger) Harris of Concord, North Carolina.Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 9 am till the time of services at the funeral home.
