Dorothy Schultz's Obituary
Dorothy Colleen (Osborn) Schultz, 86, passed away Sunday August 9th, 2015 at the Corydon Nursing and Rehab Center in Corydon, after an extended illness. She was born on December 25, 1928 in Maywood, IL to Claude and Eva (Roby) Osborn. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Sandra (Osborn) Femali, three children; Cynthia (Ronald) Huster of Goshen, IN; Donald (Carole) Schultz of Promise City and Michael Schultz of Promise City. She has eight grandchildren; Lauren, Nathan, Melissa, Stephanie, Jessica, Brett and Will. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband of 62 years, Robert (Bob) Schultz; a brother Donald Osborn; a sister Caryn Osborn and grandson, Donnie Schultz. Dorothy worked for many years for L.W. Reedy Real Estate in Elmhurst, IL as an Office Manager. She loved her job and everyone she worked with. Bob and Dorothy retired and moved to Centerville in 1992 to be closer to family. Dorothy was quite the seamstress and loved making beautiful, handmade doll clothes, and arts & crafts for her family. She was an excellent cook (as her entire family will attest), loved to read and loved spoiling her and Bob's chocolate lab, "Rusty". Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home. Interment will follow immediately in Confidence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Thomas Funeral Home.
