Dorothy Stanfell, 76 of Centerville passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at her home. Dorothy was born on October 23, 1932 to William & Bertha (Hines) Sleeth in Woodward, Iowa. Dorothy enjoyed going to the 18-80 Club, puzzles and time spent with her family and friends. Dorothy is survived by a sister; Helen Franks of Centerville and a step-brother Howard Sleeth of Iowa City. She was preceded in death by her, husband Hanebel Stanfell, a special friend Gerald Schmell, her parents, a sister Katherine Gray and a brother Eugine Sleeth. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Weller officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 9:30 until the time of service. Inurnment will be at a later date.
