Dorothy May Fry Dorothy May (Krouse) Fry, daughter of Earl and Edith (Markley) Krouse, was born on July 8, 1921 in Wayne County. She died on March 7, 2011 at the Corydon Nursing Rehab Center at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 27 days. She graduated from Millerton High School in 1938 and worked at Bull's Drug Store in Millerton. On February 8, 1947, she was married to Francis Fry. She and her husband owned and operated Fry's Store in Millerton, selling hardware and groceries. Dorothy was a devoted Christian who played the piano at Millerton United Methodist Church for over 40 years, until her health prevented her from doing so. She was a very enthusiastic and upbeat person. She was willing to try new things and enjoyed whatever she was doing. Dorothy loved to garden and take care of her yard, as well as taking bus trips with friends. She loved family and friends, and treated her employees like family, since she had no children of her own.
