Dorothy Collins, 86, died November 27, 2013 with her loving family by her side in Joplin, MO. Graveside services will be held at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour, IA, Monday December 2, 2013 at 1:30 pm with Mark Dye officiating. Dorothy was born in Seymour, Iowa to Archie and Elva Clark on May 27, 1927. She had seven sisters, Sarah Ellen, Betty, Helen, Donna, Virginia and Linda. She worked as a nurse and started the cardiac unit at Mercy Hospital in Centerville, Iowa. She retired from Mercy Hospital when she was sixty-two. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She lived her life to the fullest. Dorothy is preceded in death by her daughter, Susan Melton, sisters Helen Clark and Sarah Ellen Snook. Dorothy is survived by Archie(Alberta) Daubin, Kathie(Rex) Spain, Peggy(George) Lewis, Ronda Downey and her beloved dog Cupcake. She had nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren with one on the way.
