Dorothy Marie Kerby's Obituary
Dorothy Marie Kerby, age 85, of Moulton, Iowa, died Monday, December 19, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. Dorothy was born the daughter of Lee James and Kate (Archer) Davis on January 29, 1920, in Dean, Iowa. She recieved her education at Moulton Schoools, in Moulton, Iowa.On Januray 25, 1972, Dorothy was united in marriage to Eddison (E.J.) Kerby in Kahoka, Missouri. Dorothy worked for John Deere during World War II making ammunition. She then later went to work in Cedar Rapids, Iowa working for Wilson's Packing Plant, and then went to work in the Chicago area for several years. She then spent most of her later years around the Moulton area as a home maker.She is preceeded in death by: her parents; three sisters: Mildred and Shirley Davis, and Betty Myers; three brothers Donald, Roy, and Virgil Davis. She is survived by: her husband, Edison (E.J.) Kerby, of Moulton, Iowa and one sister, Virgie Campell of Moulton, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.Memorial Services will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Pastor Jerry Weller officiating. Interment of the ashes will be at a later date.
