Dorothy M. Forssman's Obituary
Dorothy Forssman, age 86, of Centerville, died Friday, June 09, 2006 at the Mercy Medical Center, Centerville.
She was born February 20, 1920 at Centerville the daughter of John and Nellie (Leak) Ware. She graduated from Centerville High School in 1938. She was married to Hugh Bernard Forssman on August 4, 1940 at Kansas City, MO. Dorothy loved to create and work with flowers, she was employed and owned Stagner Florist. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Centerville and she assisted in taking the church circles to the nursing homes. She was also a member of the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Mercy Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed getting together with her friends and playing cards.
She is survived by a son John Forssman and his wife Sharon of Ames, Iowa. Three grandchildren LuAnn Van Weelden and her husband Dan of Ames, Iowa, Deborah Hill and her husband Brent of Conway, Arkansas, Holly Lyles and her husband Keith of Ankeny, Iowa. Four great grandchildren Olivia and Connor Van Weelden of Ames and Nyden and Hugh Hill of Conway , Arkansas; a cousin Jesse Hunter and his wife Donna of Unionville, MO.
