Dorothy June Dillon's Obituary
Dorothy June Beach Dillon, age 95 of Lenoir City, Tennessee and a former resident of Centerville, Iowa, died December 2, 2015 at Baptist Health Care Center in Lenoir City. She was born June 7, 1920 the daughter of Blanche (Burney) and Frank L. Beach in Springfield, Missouri. She graduated from the Springfield area High School and later attended Drury College in Springfield.Dorothy was united in marriage to William D. Dillon on August 27, 1941 in Springfield. The couple owned and operated Dillon Stone Company in Iowa for many years. Later, in 1963, they moved back to Centerville, Iowa and purchased Caylor Lumber Yard in Centerville. She lived in Centerville for about five decades. She was a member of Chapter KA of P.E.O., MXL, Wednesday Club, and the First Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, William D. Dillon on May 26, 2001; and a sister, Carol V. Beach. Dorothy is survived by her two children, William D. Dillon, Jr. of Centerville, Iowa and Susan D. Jaquith and her husband, Paul of Tellico Village, Tennessee; two grandsons Paul and David Jaquith; and her great grandson, Chase William Jaquith. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa. Visitation will be Sunday, December 6, 2015 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm with the family present.Memorials can be made to the First Presbyterian Church and left or mailed to the funeral home.
