Dorothy Elizabeth Clow's Obituary
Dorothy Elizabeth Clow was born at Trails Inn on February 19, 1932 to Lee and Freida Marie (Cook) Stewart. Dorothy passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on May 25, 2021.
Dorothy graduated from Allerton High School in 1950. She married Harry Earl Clow on April 22, 1950 in Princeton, Missouri. To this union, three children were born: Jerry, Gary, and Mary.
Dorothy spent most of her life farming alongside her husband Harry. She also worked in three different café's in the county. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Dorothy enjoyed doing puzzles, making quilts, playing cards and board games, and selling t-shirts at the Clio Festival.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Harry, parents Freida Marie and Lee Stewart, stepmother Viola Stewart, in-laws Earl and Nellena Clow, siblings: Lorna Cochran (Ross), Reva Zimmerman (Kenneth), Raymond Stewart, Eugene Stewart, Harry Dewayne Stewart, Joanne Laughlin (John), and brothers-in-law: Merlin Jellison and Dale Clow.
Dorothy is survived by her children: Jerry Clow (Jennie), Gary Clow (Gail), Mary Galbreath (Ken), grandchildren: Laura Castor, Gary Weddington (Jetta), Jacob Clow, Callie Clow (Curtis), James Clow (Cheyenne), Tim Clow (Betty), Kim Young (Ryan), Jessica Galbreath and Sarah Galbreath, eleven great grandchildren, siblings: Betty Goddard, Rexine Jellison, Irma Harrington, Kathy Hitt (Steve), Jeff Stewart (Cindy), Danny Stewart, sisters-in-law: Melvena Stewart and Sharon Stewart, several nieces and nephews, and many extended family members and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday, May 28th at 1:30 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon with Pastor Leroy Perkins officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at the Clio Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 27th from 5-7 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Memorials may be given to the Allerton Christian Church or to the Sewal Community Center.
