Dorothy Ann Bowen's Obituary
Dorothy "Sissy" Ann Bowen, age 59, of Centerville, passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, surrounded by her children.
Sissy was born on October 20, 1964 in Texas City, Texas, the daughter of Glen Collins and Dorothy Reagan. Sissy enjoyed coloring, gardening, babysitting her grandchildren, time spent with her dog, Molly and with her friend, Becky Clark.
Sissy was previously employed as a housekeeper, working at The Continental Hotel and most recently at Super 8 Motel in Centerville.
Left to cherish Sissy's memory are her children, Amanda Bowen (Derek Davis), Samantha Wahl (Isaac), Tabitha Robinson (Lane McCoy); her mother, Dorothy Kemp; her grandchildren, Byren, Chace, Maddyx and AnnaLee; her mother-in-law; Sandi Robbins; her dog, Molly; as well as numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Jeff Bowen.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 12:00PM - 2:00 PM. Committal service will follow after visitation at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville.
