Dorothy Van Van Blaricom's Obituary
Dorothy VanBlaricom, 78 of Centerville died Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Golden Age Care Center. She was born May 1, 1926 in Glendale, Mo., the daughter of John and Alpha (Johnson) Logsdon.
She married Lester VanBlaricom on August 12, 1944 in Troy, Kansas. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include son Leslie and wife Connie of Cincinnati, Iowa, Stella Marsh and husband Kenneth of York, Nebraska, Danny and wife Annette of Glenwood, Iowa and Karen Draper and her husband Richard of Albany, Missouri, 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, brothers Donnel Logsdon and wife Leona of Cincinnati, Ia, Glen Logsdon and wife Wanda of Princeton, Iowa and Nova Logsdon of Des Moines, Iowa. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Mary and Dolly of Cincinnati, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Bert, Vaughn and Vern and a sister-in-law Maxine.
Dorothy enjoyed making quilts, collecting angels, gardening, feeding and watching wild birds. Dorothy was a good neighbor and friend. Dorothy cared for her parents until their death. She worked in Glenwood, Iowa before retiring.
