Doris Jean Rice's Obituary
Doris Jean Rice, age 86 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville.
Doris was born on May 12, 1926 in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Clyde and Dorothy (Garrison) Evans. She attended Centerville High School. Doris was united in marriage to Francis Rice on June 16th, 1946 in Centerville, Iowa. She was employed with Farm Bureau and Milady's Dress Shop before working in the Appanoose County Clerk of Court office for the majority of her career.
Doris is survived by her son John (Sue Ann) Rice of Ankeny, Iowa; grandchildren Kelly (Jordan) Harrison of Las Vegas NV, Mark Rice of Ankeny, Iowa; great grandchild Cole Harrison Las Vegas, NV.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville with Pastor Lloyd Johnston officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2PM Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013 preceding the funeral service. Burial will be in the Mt. Ararat Cemetery east of Centerville. Memorials have been established to either Mt. Ararat Cemetery or the Continental at St. Joseph's and may be left at or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
