Doris F. Radosevich's Obituary
Doris Radosevich, age 84 of Centerville, Iowa died Thursday September 7, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center, Des Moines, Iowa.
Doris was born May 21, 1922, the daughter of Ferol Moorman and Edith (Hunt) Brown Moorman in Mystic, Iowa. She graduated from Mystic High School in 1940. Doris married Lewis J. Radosevich August 14, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The couple lived in Rockford and then returned to Centerville in 1975. She worked at Paint and Primitives in Centerville, Iowa and was a ticket seller at the Majestic and Sunshine Mine Drive In Theaters. Doris was an active member of the National Associates Letter Carriers Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary and the Highland Cemetery Associates. Doris enjoyed painting, reading, gardening and doing crafts. She loved making jewelry, sewing and watching her grandchildren grow up. Not everyone knew her first name, because she was affectionately known as ""Grandma"" to everyone.
Doris is survived by her husband; two children Phil Radosevich of Centerville, Iowa, Nina (Gerald) Finch of Centerville, Iowa; six grandchildren Trevor Radosevich of Centerville, Iowa, Zach, Zeth and Nathan Finch all of Centerville, Iowa, Kalina (Jeremy) Brinning of Washington, MO, and Tasha Devore of Centerville, Iowa; three great grandchildren, Logan O'Hair of Centerville, Iowa, Kara and Mattie Devore both of Centerville, Iowa; two sisters, Dixie (Louie) Gorman of Centerville, Iowa, and Judy Lewis of Boser City, LA. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Moorman; two sisters, Mavis Weston and Joann Wenstrom; and a son, Billie Max Radosevich.
Funeral Services will be held 1:30 PM Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Thomas Lange Funeral Home with Pastor Kathy Franzenburg officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Cemetery, Mystic Iowa. A visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home with the family present from 6-8 PM. A memorial has been established to the Drake Public Library and may be left at or mailed to the Thomas Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
