Dora Lee Mudra's Obituary
Dora Lee Mudra, 86, of Centerville passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Dora was born to Carl & Dora (Veach) Wright on January 29, 1928 in Cincinnati, Iowa. She received her education from Grinnell High School graduating in 1946. Dora was united in marriage to Wilbur Reavis in Grinell, Iowa and would later marry Emil Mudra in Newton, Iowa. Dora enjoyed the beauty of outdoor activities. She loved traveling and camping with her family. Some of her travels took her to California to see family and others took her to the casino. When Dora was not traveling, she enjoyed playing solitaire and putting together puzzles with her grandchildren. On occasion Dora had quiet time to read some of her favorite Western books. Toward the end of her life she spent a lot of time playing Bingo and time spent with her family at the Highway 5 Auction House. Dora was mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend to many; who will be dearly missed. Survivors include, 10 children: Dwayne Wright of Des Moines, Wilbur E. Reavis of Iowa City, Larry Reavis (Betty) of Newton, Mary Lee Reavis of Browning, Missouri, Lois Hesse of Newton, Rita Beal (Dick) of Chariton, Debra Martin of Newton, Terry Mudra (Linda) of Newton, Robert Mudra (Nedra) of Centerville, John Mudra (Ronda) of Newton, brother, Carl "Sonnie" Wright Jr., 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Wilbur Reavis, Emil Mudra Jr. and a companion Don Erickson; daughter, Peggy Morris, seven siblings: Wilma Thomas, Genevieve Schultz, Edna Odeen, Anita Squires, Bill Wright, Donald Wright, James Wright and five grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 13, 2014 at Thomas Funeral Home with Rev. Sharon Squires officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior from 10-11 a.m. at Thomas Funeral Home.
