Donna Dutton's Obituary
Donna Dutton, 82, of Seymour, passed away on December 1, 2020 at Centerville Specialty Care. Donna was born in Seymour on February 16, 1938 to Archie and Elva (Hull) Clark. After graduating from Seymour High School, Donna lived in Des Moines for a brief time while performing office and clerical work before moving back to the Seymour area and marrying George Dutton on December 20, 1958. To this union, one daughter was born. Donna was a very dedicated and hard-working woman. She worked in factories all of her adult life. She worked at Toastmaster, Deflect-A-Shield and most recently at Siemens Industry Inc. out of Osceola until her retirement. Donna was a born again Christian and had been a faithful member of the First Baptist Church. An avid reader and a great bargain hunter, she was always up for a trip to a second-hand shop where she could always find the best deals! Her family and her home were very important to her as well as her numerous animals. She loved to decorate and put great stock in her treasures. Donna is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (John) Pate and granddaughters: Lindsey (Clint) Varese and Heather (Jay) Franklin; great grandchildren: Damien, Shaddix, Olivia, Ashley, Eva, Addison, Jettie and Mateo. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George and seven sisters. Interment will be held at Southlawn Cemetery in Seymour and a Celebration of Life will take place in the spring or summer of 2021.
