Donna Davis' Obituary
Donna Sue Davis (Crow), age 59 of Centerville Iowa passed away at 2:07 am on February 20th 2017 after a long and courageous battle with endometrial cancer.
Donna was born at St. Josephs Mercy Hospital in Centerville, IA on February 19, 1958, the daughter of John and Loretta (Rowan) Crow.
Sheattended Centerville schools, and also spent a short time at Moravia schools. Donna became a nurses aid shortly after school. She later met and married Russell Davis, and was a stay at home mother after her three children were born. She started working again once they got older.
Everyone has probably met Donna a time or two when she knocked on your door, as she spent a lot of time going door to door preaching her faith. She was a Jehovahs Witness, and very active in her faith.
Donna spent a lot of time keeping her children active, taking them to new places and on new adventures. Being a mom was the most valuable job to her.
She worked at the Exline Country Store, and at Morgans Ice Cream Shop most recently. Donna was an amazing cook, especially if you were fond of well done and charred all the way through steaks and burgers. She didnt like to take chances with germs and bacteria. So, if you ever had the pleasure of Donnas cooking, and it was well done, just know that meant that she must have really liked you. If you received raw or undercooked food, well take that as a hint.
Donna enjoyed finding treasures at Garage sales, walks around the reservoir, being with her family and friends, spending time with her two grandkids, and loved keeping busy.
Donna is survived by her ex- husband/ best friend Russell Kirby Davis of Moulton, IA; their three children, Curtis (Andrea) Davis of Altoona, IA, Angela (Phil) Schaffer, along with their three kids Andrew Schaffer, Leo Schaffer and Rowan Schaffer (due March 29) of Altoona, IA, and Nicholas Davis and grand puppy Tex of Granger, IA; one sister Diana (Frank)Igliniski; and a nephew Justin Lindley and family all of Kalamazoo, Mi.
She was preceded in death by her Father John Eugene Crow of Walnut City, IA and her Mother Loretta Pearl Crow (Rowan) of Numa, IA.
