Donna Cossolotto's Obituary
Donna Cossolotto, age 59 of Cincinnati, Iowa went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, September 28, 2011.
She was born October 9, 1951 in Centerville, Iowa the daughter of Bill West and Marie (Clayworth) West.
Donna grew up in Cincinnati and graduated from Centerville High School. She met John Cossolotto after his military discharge from the Army and they later married on February 11, 1972 at the First Baptist Church in Centerville.
Donna previously owned and operated two businesses, an antique shop off the west side of the Centerville Square, and a grocery store in Cincinnati, Iowa.
She later entered the postal service in 1985. Donna began in the 1980s as a substitute carrier and later became a full time carrier for the Cincinnati Post Office. She worked twenty five years with the Post Office.
In her free time, Donna loved gardening, her rocks, going to sales and auctions, cooking for the family-especially spaghetti dinners every Sunday, and most importantly, the time she spent with her Boys and grandchildren.
Donna was a member of Cincinnati Community Church. She was also a member of the Rural Letter Carrier Union.
She is survived by her husband John of Cincinnati; four sons, Pat (Rodale) Cossolotto, Steve (Michelle) Cossolotto, Doug Cossolotto and Scott (Julie) Cossolotto all of Cincinnati, Iowa; ten grandchildren; a brother John West of Cincinnati, two sisters Mary (Lyle) Warren of Cincinnati, Sharon (Ron) Snider of Cincinnati; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister-in-law, Linda West.
Funeral services will be held 10AM Saturday October 1, 2011 at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville with Pastor Mark Walsh officiating. Friends may call Friday starting at 1PM with the family present from 6-8PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Centerville. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, Iowa. A memorial has been established to Cincinnati Community Church and may be left or mailed to the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa 52544.
