Donald Allen Anderson Donald Allan Anderson was born July 26,1929 in Tampico, Illinois to Evald and Ester (Neilsen) Anderson. Donald was a sibling to nine brothers and sisters: Evald Jr., Harold, Robert, Jerry, Shirley Steal, Paul, Janice(Tootsie) Davis, Susie McFadden and Wesley(Sonny). Donald was united in marriage to Barbara Helene Winkler on December 7, 1957. Donald and Barbara had five children: Kenneth Allen(Kim), Rodger Wayne, Sherry Marie Halferty (Ronald Van Tomme), Molly May White(Bill Garr), David Arthur(Lydia). Donald was grandfather to seventeen grandchildren: Misty Coffey (Bryan), Tyler Anderson, Dakota Parker, Wyatt Parker, Nicole Mundy (Brian), Andrew James (Amanda), Michelle McDonald (Rick), Amanda Swan (T.J.), Tanya Fletcher (Isaiah), Damon Current, Shawna Wiebers (Michael), Zachary Lamb (Chelsi), Tammy Weeks (Brian),David Arthur Anderson Jr. (Desiree Jones), Donaella Anderson, Charlie Sparr, and Dimitri Teague and sixteen great grandchildren: Leo, Mackenzie, Kole, Jacelyn, Valerie, Trey, Lila, Nathan, Kaylee, Matthew, Michael, Raedon, Jacob, Taythan, Landon, and Caleb. Donald served in the US Army from 1950 to 1953. Donald bought his first car, brand new '56' Chevy, paid in full with cash he had earned while fighting in the Korean War. Donald and Barbara farmed in Wisconsin and Illinois, before they moved in 1970, and established their home near Humeston, Iowa. They had dairy cows, row crop, hay, pigs, and chickens. He worked as a semi driver to deliver machinery and also hauled and delivered milk. Donald loved the farm, sports, playing cards with family and friends, and just sitting on the porch watching the traffic go by. Donald was a very loving man and loved ALL his family. He was a die hard Mormon Trail Saint's fan. Donald was preceded in death by his parents Evald and Ester Anderson, his siblings Robert and Jerry, and his wife Barbara. He is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and friends.
