Donald L. Kirby's Obituary
Donald L. Kirby, age 72, of Unionville, Iowa, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at Golden Age Care Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of Harley J. and Maggie M. (Downing) Kirby on October 13, 1935 in Moulton, Iowa. He received his education in the Moulton Community Schools.Donald served his country with the United States Army from March 19, 1958 until honorable discharge on March 9, 1960. He was a farmer in the Unionville, Iowa area with his family for many years.He is preceded in death by: his parents; brothers, Samuel and William Kirby; sisters, Dolly Kirby, Daisy Rominger, Deloris Peterson, Delza Wiley and Dorothy Schoening; half-brother, Cletus Robert Kirby.Donald is survived by: A sister, Delila Glover of Bloomfield, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.Memorials services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 1 pm at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa with Rev. Reggie Higginbottom officiating.
