Donald Hitchcock's Obituary
Donald Hitchcock, age 82, of Bloomfield, Iowa, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Bloomfield Care Center in Bloomfield.
Donald was born on March 30, 1935 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Charles and Margaret (Clemens) Hitchcock.
Donald had a kind and loving heart. He truly enjoyed the countless friendships he made throughout his lifetime, most notably, his friends (staff and residents) at the Bloomfield Care Center who were more like an extended family to him.
He loved animals and enjoyed fishing in his younger years.
Donald is survived by his brother, Tom Hitchcock of Virginia Beach, Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, John of Fort Madison, Iowa, Charles of Davenport, Iowa, and Kenny of Knoxville, Iowa.
Graveside services will be held at 9 AM, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville, Iowa with Pastor Jeremy McElvain officiating. Memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Care Center and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
