Donald Eugene Hamm's Obituary
Donald Eugene Hamm, age 74, of Centerville, Iowa, died Saturday, February 14, 2009 at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa. He was born the son of Olan E. and Vernice (Farnsworth) Hamm on June 21, 1934 in Exline, Iowa. He graduated in 1951 from Cincinnati High School in Cincinnati, Iowa.Donald served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. Later, he would become a teacher and would teach all over the World in different countries such as Viet Nam, Iran and Saudi Arabia. He was a member of the Drake Avenue Christian Church in Centerville, Iowa.He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Hamm.Donald Eugene is survived by: his Aunt, Donna Farnsworth of Centerville, Iowa; several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Darl Snow and Ken Mehrhoff officiating. Burial with full military honors will be at the Exline Cemetery in Exline, Iowa. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 16, 2009 from 1 pm till 7 pm with the family present from 6 pm till 7 pm at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the Cline Dialysis Center in Centerville and can be left at the funeral home.
