Donald Carr's Obituary
Donald Eugene Carr, 92, of Allerton, passed away on July 2, 2018 at Corydon Specialty Care. Don was born on September 29, 1925 in Numa, Iowa and was raised by Daisy and Joe Carr. After graduating from Numa High School, Don served in the United States Navy for four years. After discharge from the Navy, Don worked on ships for a few years in California before moving back to the Midwest and marrying Edna Smith on July 25, 1983 in Cincinnati, Iowa. Don then worked factory maintenance for several years before retirement. In his spare time, Don enjoyed: fishing, hunting, stamp collecting, movies, picnics/camping, spending time with family and enjoying community events. Don is survived by his wife, Edna; son, Eugene and his sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and best friend, Junior. Graveside services and military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Numa Cemetery.
