Donald Roy Argo's Obituary
Donald Roy Argo, 88 of Corydon passed away Friday, October 6, 2023 at his home.
Don was born to Roy & Hazel (Rockhold) Argo on February 4, 1935 in Washington, Iowa. He received his education from West Chester High School graduating in 1953. On November 7, 1954, Don was united in marriage to Carol Booth in Washington, Iowa. To this union came five children: Donna, Janet, Rob, Rick and Jim.
Don farmed with his dad and also worked for Richard Oil Company and later worked for Jackson Mobil in Clio.
Don enjoyed farming, watching TV (sports & westerns), putting corn out to feed his squirrels and attending his grandkids events.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; children: Donna Porter, Janet Argo, Rob Argo (Claudia), Rick Argo (Elizabeth), Jim Argo (Lisa), 17 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Virginia Peiffer and Kay Gibson (Don) and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Joshua Porter.
A celebration of life service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Visitation will take place two hours prior from 9-11:00 am. Interment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery in Lineville. Memorials may be given to the family which will be designated at a later date and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
