Dolores Novotny's Obituary
Dolores Ann Novotny, age 71, of Centerville, Iowa, died Tuesday October 6, 2009 at the Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Raymond and Pauline (Hobson) Howell on March 21, 1938. She attended school in Argo, Illinois.On April 6, 1956 she was united in marriage to Myles Novotny in Argo, Illinois. Dolores worked for Delco Radio as an assembler, Plymouth Place in LaGrange, Illinois, and also at the Golden Age Care Center as a nurses aid in Centerville, Iowa. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Centerville, and loved contributing to Precious Angels.Dolores is preceded in death by: her parents, brother; William Aurthur Howell, sister; Donna May High, grandchildren; Mark Aaron Novotny, and James Anthony Pike.She is survived by: husband; Myles Novotny, sons; Michael Novotny of Centerville, Iowa, Kenneth and his wife, Rebecca of Denver Colorado, and Mark Novotny of Corder, Missouri, daughters; Linda and her husband, Gary Broshar of Eugene, Oregan, Janice and her husband, Donald Loofbourrow of West Liberty, Iowa, and Rebecca Montegna of Centerville, Iowa, sister; Darlene Evans of Romeoville, Illinois, 15 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.Funeral Services will be held Saturday, October 10, 2009 at 10 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa, with Rev. Gene Kubli officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois on Monday, October 12, 2009 at 2 pm. Visitation will be held Friday, October 09, 2009 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa. Public viewing will held from 1-8 pm with the family present from 6-8 pm.Memorial can be made to Precious Angels and can be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
