Diana Jean Herr's Obituary
Diana Jean Herr, age 68, of Centerville, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa.
Diana was born on August 15, 1954 in Mexico, Missouri, the daughter of James and Deloris (Duty) Corbett. On April 22, 1988, she was united in marriage to Kurt Herr Sr.
Diana worked hard on the Homefront, making sure her family was always taken care of. She loved every moment spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. Moreover, Diana provided childcare in her home for over twenty years. She enjoyed many hobbies in her free time, including her passion for mushroom hunting.
Left to cherish Diana's memory are her husband of over 34 years, Kurt Herr Sr. of Centerville; her children, Dawn (Dave) Graber of Tiffin, and Jamie (Shawna) Lewellen of Centerville; four grandchildren, Sophia Graber, Magnolia Graber, Sam Graber and Noah Lewellen; as well as several extended family and friends.
Diana was preceded in death by her parents, James and Deloris Corbett; her brother, Steve Corbett; and her granddaughter, Hannah Graber.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with the family greeting friends from 10:00AM-12:00PM. Burial will follow the visitation at Fairview Cemetery, near Unionville, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be written to The Family of Diana Herr, to be determined at a later date, and may be mailed to Thomas Funeral Home, ATTN: Herr Family, 501 North 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
