DeWayne Keith Mitchell's Obituary
Keith Mitchell, 95 of Seymour passed away Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Centerville Specialty Care.
Keith was born on April 8, 1927 in Cambria, Iowa to Cleveland & Angie Mitchell. He received his education from Cambria High School, graduating in 1945. Keith was a veteran of the United States Air Force serving from 1950-1954.
Keith was united in marriage to Joanna Sebben on April 21, 1956. To this union came four children: Terry, Larry, David and Anna. Keith worked many years driving truck over the road. He enjoyed gardening and watching western shows. He also enjoyed fishing in his younger years. Keith loved to watch his grandchildren play ball and also enjoyed watching the KC Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeyes. If there were ever a deck of cards around, Keith was ready to play cribbage or pitch.
Survivors include his children: Terry Mitchell, Larry Mitchell, David Mitchell (Kara), Anna Bratz (Todd), 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joanna and a brother, Kenneth Mitchell.
Memorial service will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Thomas Funeral Home in Seymour. Interment will immediately follow at Southlawn Cemetery. Visitation will take place one hour prior to service from 1-2pm at the funeral home.
