Deon Brown's Obituary
Deon Carroll Brown, 65 of Cincinnati, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at Knoxville Hospital.
Deon was born in Morning Sun, Iowa on June 13, 1956 to Ralph Laurence & Carroll Darlene (Drake) Ball. Deon received her education from Centerville High School, graduating in 1974. She would later attend Indian Hills Community College and graduate in 1976.
Deon was united in marriage to Charles Everett June 4, 1977 and later divorced. She was united in marriage to Mark Brown May 8, 2010.
Deon's passion in life was her love for Tennessee Walking Horses. She raised and promoted the breed for over 40 years. She dedicated many hours to children, always inviting them down to see the babies, teaching them how to ride, and how to show in 4-H. If they didn't have a horse she would find them one, often gifting one of her own. She loved trail riding with her friends and hosted many at the farm. If you didn't have anything to ride she'd find you one. The more the merrier.
She loved her Grandchildren fiercely and she would do anything for her babies. Grandma at the farm could always be counted on for a good time. She enjoyed baking with her grandkids complete with flour fights in the kitchen and late nights with intense games of UNO played by her made up rules of course!
She lived life boldly by doing and saying exactly as she pleased. Never one to mince words you knew exactly how she felt. Her heart was huge and she never met a stranger, often claiming her friends as her family. She touched the lives of many and will never be forgotten.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Brown, sons: Jarvis Everett (Becca), Wesley Charles Everett, grandchildren: Logan Everett, Kimber Everett, stepchildren and grandchildren: Sammy Bangs (Dustin) Elise, Jordyn; Jacob Brown (Teslyn) Carter, Max, Colt; Jessica Brown (Stephen Conner) Payton Hannah, unborn daughter Charlotte Conner, siblings: Laura Jean Yarger, Dana Ralph Ball, Helen Helleur (Dennis), Charla Marie Keefer (Gary) and numerous extended family as well as her adopted family friends that she claimed as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents and first husband, Chuck Everett.
Per Deon's wishes, cremation has been accorded and a visitation will take place Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville. Memorials may be given to the family and condolences may be shared at www.thomasfh.com or www.facebook.com/thomasfuneralhome.
