Denny L. Hazen, age 50, of Centerville, Iowa, died Sunday, March 27, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Centerville, Iowa. He was born the son of the late Albert Hazen and the late Dorothea (Pollman) Hazen on July 8, 1954 in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from West Liberty High School in West Liberty, Iowa.In 1976, he was united in marriage to Jacque Jarvis in Nichols, Iowa. They later divorced. Denny was employed as a general laborer with Brace Brothers Construction, Centerville, Iowa.Denny was preceded in death by: his parents.He is survived by: son Ben Hazen of Centerville, Iowa; daughters Jessica Hazen of Centerville, Iowa and Kayla Hazen of Iowa City, Iowa; fiancee Lynnette Fenton of Centerville, Iowa; brothers Tom, Mike, and Charlie Hazen of Nichols, Iowa; sisters Rene Mills and Lori Hazen of Nichols, Iowa and Annette Kahill of Tipton, Iowa; and granddaughter Sarina Woolman of Iowa City, Iowa.Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2005, at 3:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Nichols, Iowa with Joe Hayes officiating. Burial will follow the graveside services. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2005, from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with the family present from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorials can be made to the family and can be left at or mailed to the To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Denny L.
