Dennis James Helleur, Sr.'s Obituary
Dennis James Helleur Sr., age 76, of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2022 at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines.
Dennis was born on October 11, 1946 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, the son of William Henry Helleur Jr. and Betty (Shiffer) Helleur. He graduated from Centerville High School with the Class of 1966. Dennis was united in marriage to Helen Helleur.
Dennis served his country faithfully in the United States Army. He worked as an automotive body & fender professional and mechanic for a majority of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed cruising in his car, remodeling homes, wood working, and fishing.
Left to honor Dennis's memory are his wife, Helen Helleur; his children, Dennis Helleur Jr., Tamy Samuels, and Krystal Thomas; three grandchildren, Danielle Samuels, Shelby Samuels, and Lukas Helleur; two sisters-in-law, Laura Yarger, Charla (Gary) Keefer; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Helleur; his brother, William Helleur III; his in-laws, Laurence and Carroll Ball; his brother-in-law, Dana Ball; and a sister-in-law, Deon Everett Brown.
Per wishes, cremation has been accorded. Private family services will be held. Burial will take place at a later date in Exline Cemetery in the spring.
