Our deepest sympathies. I met Del in l973 at Echo Valley Country Club. Del and I had a great business relationship, as he purchased golf course supplies from me for many years. Over the years of friendship, we golfed, played cards, shot pool and tipped a few. Del has a host of friends and was a Great Guy! He will be missed by many. Posted by Larry Noftsger March 28, 2009
My first husband, Johnny, and Del were in France together during their stint in the Army. Del visited us frequently, and was a really good friend. I was in France with Johnny. I was expecting my first child, now 46, at that time, and he gave me the cutest blanket. I have never forgotten him, and thought about him when Johnny died, in 1978 at age 39. I never knew how to get in touch with him, but that was before computers. Johnny and I both thought the world of Del, and spent many hours with him while we were all in France. My deepest sympathy goes out to all of his friends and close loved ones in the passing of my father. I wish that I had known this sooner to pay my respects to him and the family he grew to love and adore. Thank you to all for looking over him, loving him and taking care of him all these years and seeing him through to the end of his life journey. He was my only father I really knew all of my life.
