Debra Lee Frisk, 61, of Confidence, died May 12, 2012 at Legacy Lodge in Chariton. She was born May 7, 1951 in Des Moines, the daughter of Harold and Joann Knapp. She grew up in Des Moines and attended Hoover High School, graduate Read Obituary
I met Deb, when she was at Johnston, I was only coached one year there before going to Indianola, but seemed like I knew forever what a great person, my thoughts and prayers to all.
I have so many memories of Deb. I met her in 1987 when I moved into the neighborhood. Many afternoons and evenings were spent at each other's house, mainly Deb's, talking and laughing. We shared a lot of early morning walks. She was a great support and provided a lot of comfort when Larry died. She introduced me to my husband, Mike, who I saw at her grandmother's auction; I am ever greatful to her for that.Even though our time together lessened over time because of both of us moving, I knew I could call her anytime and pick up where we left off. I will miss Deb, but am sure she is reuniting with family and friends who left before her.
Deb was such a wonderful woman, so compassionate towards the school children and their family. She was always on top of everything giving me friendly reminders of school closings or early outs. She will be truly missed by all.
