Deborah Howard's Obituary
Deborah Howard, age 51 of Cincinnati, Iowa died Tuesday afternoon, May 8, 2012 at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, Iowa.
Deborah was born May 30, 1960 at Louisiana, Missouri the daughter of Leon DeShane and Velma (Perkins) DeShane. She married Robert Howard on March 22, 2001 at Omaha, Missouri and lived in Unionville, MO for eleven years.
She enjoyed numerous occupations throughout her working years. Deb's favorite job was farrowing barns for PSF. She later worked as a housekeeper at various motels. She loved flowers, gardening and fishing. Deborah had a fondness for animals and loved walking along the creek on her Dad's farm looking for arrowheads and rocks. In her younger years she loved dancing.
Her favorite pastime involved spending time on her computer at home. Deborah spent countless hours learning everything she could about computers. She especially enjoyed playing computer games.
Deborah is survived by her husband Robert; four children, Robert Howard of Manhattan, KS, Michele Howard of Knoxville, TN, Nicole Everitt of Junction City, Kansas, Amanda Genzel of Cincinnati, Iowa; her father Leon DeShane; Grandchildren Aliyah Jones, Faith Jones, Destiny Jones, Zachary Kirkland, Austin Everitt, Jasmine Everitt, Breanna Edwards, Nicolette Whitaker, Brittney Whitaker, Aalia Howard, Emily Howard, Olivia Howard, Darron Howard and Allana Howard; siblings, Leon (Linda) DeShane Jr., Hillsdale, IL, Barbara Van Erstvelde and life partner Brian Johnston, Junction City, KS, Diana (Greg) Opolka, Marion, GA, Roberta (William) Brunner, Cordova, IL.
She was preceded in death by her mother Velma DeShane.
Funeral services will be held at 1PM Saturday afternoon, May 12, 2012 at the Lange Funeral Home & Crematory, Centerville with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Friends may call all day Friday at Lange Funeral Home with the family present from 6-8 PM. Burial will be in the Shipley Cemetery near Unionville, MO. A memorial has been established to either the American Cancer Society or to the family and may be given to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 S.18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
