Deborah Carter's Obituary
Deborah Louise McCoy Carter of Centerville, 63, passed away January 11, 2022 at the Golden Age Care Center in Centerville. She was born on October 8, 1958 to Lester and Louise McCoy of Centerville.
Debbie was a 1977 graduate of Centerville High School. After high school, Debbie attended Indian Hills Community College. She worked at the Wells and Rubbermaid factories in Centerville. She loved reading, animals, including dogs and her cat, Fluffy. Debbie was a Christian, and a kind and caring person who would help anyone. She was also a regular blood donator in Centerville for many years. Debbie was a member of Sharon Chapel Church for many years.
Debbie is survived by her mother Louise McCoy of Centerville; son Lee Carter (and children) of Exline, sister Dena (Ed) Courtney of Galt, Missouri; sister Dottie (Brian) Abrahamson of Ankeny, Iowa; sister Laretta (Ed) Seeley of Centerville; brother Craig (Benita) McCoy of Centerville, brother Mitchel (Pat) McCoy of Jenks, Oklahoma; uncle Gary Hinerman of Kirksville, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father Lester McCoy.
A private graveside service will be held in Spring, 2022; with interment in the Sharon Chapel Cemetery in Centerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
