Deb Ferguson's Obituary
Deb Ferguson, age 58 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, October 02, 2016 at her home.
Deb was born on April 7, 1958 in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, the daughter of Patricia Connelly, and niece of Dale Janik. She attended Catholic School from Kindergarten through 12th, where she also went through confirmation. After graduating high school, Deb met Steve Ferguson. They were united in marriage in February of 1975 in Detroit, Michigan. From this union, two children were born, Jen and Sabrina.
She was employed as a Custom Broker at the Ambassador Bridge in Detroit, Michigan for 12 years. She then spent ten years in Virginia before relocating to Centerville, Iowa in 1997.
Deb was always there for her family. She loved her family very much, and enjoyed spending time with them, especially with her grandkids. She also enjoyed listening to the Crossroads band play.
Deb is survived by her husband, Steve Ferguson of Centerville; daughters, Jen Ferguson (Chaz Sias) of Centerville, and Sabrina Martin (Fiance Anthony Whicker) of Centerville; mother-in-law, Minnie Ferguson of Centerville; six grandchildren, Allyssa Ferguson, Taylor Martin, Mylee Sias, Tori Martin, Teagan Martin, and Bentley "Mr. B" Whicker; one great-grandchild, Emma Rogers; and four honorary sisters, Sherry Duffey, Little Deb Cason, Sandy Adams and Rebecca Michels
She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Connelly; uncle, Dale Janik; grandmother, Mary "Babica" Hughes, and father-in-law, Gene Ferguson.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 5:00-6:00PM at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory in Centerville. There will be no funeral service following the visitation, and cremation will be accorded at Lange Funeral Home and Crematory. Memorials have been established to the family of Deborah Sue Ferguson and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th Street, Centerville, Iowa 52544.
