DeAnn Renee Dorsey's Obituary
DeAnn "Dee" Renee Dorsey, 51 of Osceola, Iowa, formerly of Corydon, Iowa, passed away, Monday, October 2, 2023.
Dee was born to Thomas and Margaret (Shipley) Dorsey in Corydon, Iowa, on August 21, 1972. She received her education from Wayne Community High School, graduating in 1991 and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Buena Vista.
Following graduation Dee met Darren Gould, and they became parents to Meghan Renee Gould.
Dee's greatest accomplishment in her life was her daughter Meghan. She was very proud of Meghan, and no matter where Meghan was or what Dee was doing, she was always there for her.
Dee's friends and family were all very important to her. She was passionate about advocating for people who needed a voice. A number cannot be given to the amount of lives Dee touched in her short lifetime, professionally and personally. Dee was loved by many, and Southern Iowa and our State truly lost one of their champions in improving the lives of others.
When Dee entered the room, everyone knew it. Whether it be her smile, a hug or her infectious laugh, she was someone you wanted to get to know.
Survivors include her daughter, Meghan Gould; brothers, Christopher Dorsey (Melissa Short), Brian (Missy) Dustin; nieces, Savana (Randy) Davenport, Hannah Dustin; father, Tom Dorsey (Lisa); and lifelong friend Darren Gould.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret "Magee" Dorsey.
