Dean Adriean Clark Obituary's Obituary
Dean Adriean Clark went home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2011 at the Wayne County Hospital in Corydon, Iowa at the age of 85. On November 8, 1925, on a farm north of Promise City, Dean was born to Robert Loy Clark and Myrtle Iona (Holmes) Clark. He graduated 8th grade on May 23, 1939. He continued to work on the family farm until he enlisted in the U. S. Army in December 1950. Dean was united in marriage to Margaret Louise Crawford on March 25, 1951. Four children were born to this union: Jimmy Dean, Randall Dale, Carolyn Jean, and Jerry Alan. During the first few years of marriage, they lived on various military bases while Dean served in the Army. After Dean's discharge, they started farming in October of 1953 in Bethlehem, Iowa, where they lived until moving to Seymour in 1998. Dean enjoyed hunting and fishing with friends and family and he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was very passionate about farming and had a great love for Allis Chalmers tractors. Dean and Louise both loved spending hours feeding the foxes and bird watching. He was active in the Corydon American Legion, Russell E. Marshall Post 68. In April 2007 due to ailing health Dean moved into the Continental Care Center in Seymour. Regardless of whatever life threw at him he faced it with a smile on his face and sweetness in his heart. Dean had a special place in his heart for all people who took care of him. He loved to joke and laugh with them and had a deep appreciation for all they did during his time at the Care Center. He accepted the Lord as his personal savior on April 20, 2007. He faithfully attended the church services that the Seymour First Baptist conducted at the Care Center. Dean is survived by his children: Jimmy (Celeste) Clark of Seymour, Randy (Barbara) Clark of New York, Iowa; Carolyn (Ron) Terrell) of Corydon, and Jerry (Tammy) Clark of Seymour. Other survivors include his grandchildren: Jody Clark (fianc Eric Hinrichs) of Overland Park, Kansas, Joe (Teresa) Clark of Centerville, Erin Clark of Corydon, Joshua (Emily Graham) Clark of West Des Moines, Jacob Clark of Ankeny, Lee (Laci) Terrell of Corydon, Stacy (Rick) Schmidt of Corydon; Cody Terrell of Corydon, T. J. Clark of Seymour, Lorrie Clark of Seymour, and a great grandson Zane Alan Clark.
