Dean Belloma's Obituary
Dean Belloma, age 71 of Centerville, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 08, 2015 at home surrounded by family members.
He was born in Centerville, Iowa on July 20, 1943, the son of Bennie and Hazel (Tipton) Belloma. Dean was united in marriage to Norma Argenta on June 3, 1967 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Centerville.
In his early adult years, Dean began trucking in the family business. He later worked construction in the Des Moines area. Dean eventually relocated back to Centerville to work with his brother Frank in the trucking industry. Eventually, Dean and an associate established Belloma Construction. In time, Dean and Frank created a partnership with Belloma Construction, primarily focusing in cement work.
In due course, Dean and Frank purchased Culligan Water from Gerald Banks. Together, they owned and operated the business for nearly fifteen years. Dean and Frank also owned the Highlander Trailer Court in Centerville for many years, managing the ""court"" while still operating both Belloma Construction and Culligan Water. In 1997 Dean established a family operated machine shop in Centerville. Presently, the family still owns and operates the machine business.
In his younger years, Dean enjoyed golfing-whenever he wasn't working! He also spent many years fishing and hunting with family and friends. He loved to dance and could move with the best of them. Dean enjoyed family ""get togethers"" and playing cards with his relatives. He enjoyed camping and sitting by the camp fire. He loved to drink beer and smoke cigarettes. Dean loved to watch boxing and MMA on the television. Although Dean enjoyed ""bitching,"" underneath that rough exterior was a soft-hearted man who would help anyone in a time of need. He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.
Dean is survived by his wife, Norma Belloma of Centerville; three children, David (Jackie) Belloma of Centerville, Terry (Mindy) Belloma of Centerville and Tony (Heather) Belloma of Centerville; ten grandchildren, Tyson Belloma, Tanner Belloma, Kaiu Korman, Talya Burris, Jalie Belloma, Amelia Belloma, Colton Belloma, Peyton Kauffman, Payne Kauffman and Bennie Belloma; two great-grandchildren, Roan Korman and Gannon Burris; a brother, Frank (Norma) Belloma of Centerville; sister, Lucy Varese of Centerville; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Hazel Belloma; grandparents, Loy and Cecil Tipton, Frank and Lucy Belloma; and a nephew, Matt Varese.
