David Lee Kent's Obituary
David Lee Kent, age 88, of Corydon, Iowa passed away on March 27, 2025 at Wayne County Hospital surrounded by his family.
David was born on February 17, 1937 to Millard and Ruby (Donald) Kent. He graduated from Corydon High School with the class of 1955. On June 28, 1958 David married Dona Lucas at the Methodist Church in Centerville, Iowa. To this union three children were born and raised: Dennis, Doug, and Dolores.
Throughout his life David's greatest passion was farming. He loved agriculture and being in the industry. He drove his semi all over the states hauling corn and soybeans.
He loved sitting on the front porch of his house watching the days go by, and always had his dog by his side. Family was very important to David, but his grandchildren were his top priority. He enjoyed telling them stories and passing down his knowledge to them.
David is survived by his wife of over 66 years Dona; children, Dennis (Julie) Kent, Doug (Lisa) Kent, and Dolores "Dee" (Doug) Rouse; grandchildren Daniel (Tiffany) Kent, Emily Rouse, Lydia Rouse; step-grandchildren, Clint (Hayley) McLain, Cassie (Jonathon) Shields, Chris (Shannon) McLain; 10 step great grandchildren and numerous extended family and https://friends.He is preceded by his parents, brother Maurice (Margaret) Kent, and brother Donald (Cleo) Kent.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, April 4, 2025 at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon. Interment will immediately follow at Corydon Cemetery. Visitation will take place at Thomas Funeral Home in Corydon on Friday April 4, 2025 with family present from 12:00PM-2:00PM.
